Sheila "Mary" Law passed away in Compton Hospice on the 25th February 2014. Although many may see sadness in this, that is where Mary wanted her last days to be. Compton Hospice is a fantastic place.

Born and brought up in Wolverhampton her education started at Woodfield avenue and Infants before attending the Girls High School from 1961 until 1968.

Although not always liking school she achieved a high academic standard and went to Coventry college of education where she qualified as a teacher taking music as her main subject. She was very proud of her educational achievements of 11 O levels, 2 A levels, an S level in music and a diploma in Welfare studies.

Her IQ was 158. She even managed to swim her first mile at the age of 54.

As a final act Mary took time to organise her own funeral. A wonderful friend and mother to all who knew her.

Gareth Law (Son)
